About me

I have loved photography from a very young age and decided to pursue my dream at 17 and take my first Photographic course.

Although I didn't know it at the time, my career really got going whilst I was a nanny in the USA, I started snapping children, and found I had a talent for getting them to laugh and pose naturally. I got some wonderful shots, and created a darkroom for my black and white prints in the bathroom!

When I returned to the UK, I continued my work in professional photographic labs where I learned about all aspects of Photographic processing and colour printing. I also studied for my Professional Photographers' Certificate and then took the plunge, I launched my own business in 1997 and have never looked back.

When photographing children, I like to capture a child in their true essence, portray the joy and happiness that children give us all with their beautiful smile. Most of my work is very to the camera so when looking at your child’s portrait it’s like the person is connecting with you, speaking with you through their eyes and smile. However, I do believe by fully understanding children is to stay young at heart and try to see the world through their eyes

I have always had a connection with children, by combining my love of Photography and children, Jackie Frost Photography was born.

Wedding Photography is very personal and every wedding tells a different story. Each has its own personality along with different requirements for each couple. I think it’s very important to meet the Bride & Groom before the day, not just so I can meet them but to go through all the finer details of their requirements. They too, can meet me, feel happy and confident, that I have their best interests at heart and that I am achieving all those special moments of their day.

Commercial Photography has different demands as there are different requirements across a very wide spectrum. Happy to discuss your requirements along with your budget so we can reach your targets at an efficient and affordable rate. I do love to chat, when work has been quiet, I decided to put back into the community. I have worked as a volunteer and also I have been on committees for the WI and my local library, running lunch clubs, coach trips and cinema clubs for the elderly, a craft club, been awarded grant money from the local Council, GLA and Waitrose Supermarket to create green places for the public, helped with disabled children, made the teas & coffees and set up at a local Parent & Toddler group.

I have worked with the NCT Richmond, Wimbledon & Merton, doing family photo days, taking portraits and raising funds for the NCT at the same time. During the years I have had several children come to me for work experience. This has been an absolute joy in helping the younger generation understand Photography better and help them use their creative talents. Some I have photographed as children at the nurseries and now seeing them all grown up is amazing. If you would like any help, advice or would like me to be involved with your future fundraising projects, please get in touch.

I am Public Liability insured and have always had a CRB, now DBS certificate.

During my years of working for myself, I have travelled extensively around the world. One of my dearest memories is helping in a hospital for disabled children in Guatemala.

When I have free time, I love to travel, I enjoy the Great Outdoors, walking and I spend time down on my allotment. In the colder months, I enjoy cooking, crafting and socialising.

If you have any questions regarding my work please do not hesitate to get in touch, it would be lovely to hear from you!
